Bitnetix offers its services in one of three ways:
Each of these offerings has its pros and cons. Hourly ConsultingHourly consulting is simply time that is billed at an hourly rate. Hours are billed in quarter hour increments and all time is accounted for on an invoice. This is the simplest way to obtain our services, as it doesn't require any contracts or the Statement Of Work that a project entails. One hour of consulting is the base unit by which all other service offerings are measured. Pre-Paid (Retainer)Pre-paid hours are blocks of hours purchased in advance at a discounted rate. The more hours purchased, the greater the discount. Time spent working for the client is billed against these hours, and a statement is generated showing the each month's details. This is similar to hiring an attorney on a retainer. You pay for them in advance, get a discount for them, and can use them whenever you want over the course of their lifespan. This approach is useful for performing regular work or maintenance that occurs at planned intervals. Backups, upgrades, security audits, and software inventories would be examples of things that would be done on a routine basis at various intervals. Another good use for pre-paid hours is to obtain reduced rate consulting time for whatever small (or large) projects you might need done that occur at irregular intervals or to provide advance coverage for emergencies. A minimum purchase of ten hours is required. Hours typically have a lifepsan of three, six, or twelve months depending on the desires of the client. At the end of their lifespan, unused hours expire with no refund. See the rate sheet for details. ProjectsProjects are the best way to approach a complex or complicated set of tasks that have a set of deliverables and timelines that don't lend themselves to hourly consulting. Examples would be major upgrades, software installations, and system integration work. Projects are defined by a Statement Of Work (SOW) that answers the following questions:
These things are worked out as part of the project development stage, by both the client and Bitnetix. Once the SOW is agreed upon, work will commence as defined by the project. Typically, a project is billed based on a combination of how long it is expected to take and how complicated the project is. This usually represents a savings over billing for the same amount of work on an hourly basis, since if the project goes over its time estimate, there is no additional cost. OutsourcingStaff augemtation, outsourcing, contractors or contract labor...However you wish to define it, this is the approach that provides a Bitnetix consultant at the client's site for an extended duration, typically working a normal 40-hour work week. Through a contractor agreement, the client gets long-term use of a Bitnetix consultant's skills and Bitnetix resources without the overhead of actually hiring an employee. Bitnetix consultants are professional, courteous, intelligent, well-trained and have lots of experience in just the right areas to help you get your job done. By hiring us as a contract labor outsourcer, you get the job done without having to hire, maintain, or lay off a valuable employee. In the end, everyone wins because you pay less, we gain a valuable client, and our employee gets a paycheck! |
