Welcome to the Bitnetix Technology Consulting Hired Guns mailing list. Bitnetix is a technology consulting company dedicated to providing technology consulting services to not-for-profit organizations and small businesses in the Greater Rochester area, Western New York, and beyond. Bitnetix's "Hired Guns" is a group of sub-contractors willing to work potentially irregular hours at potentially irregular intervals for $40.00 per hour of billable time. In exchange, Bitnetix gets to use you and your skills to provide services to our clients at times that we wouldn't otherwise be able to provide them, in addition to expanding that base of services. This mailing list was created to allow Bitnetix to communicate opportunities to our gunslingers. It is closed, moderated, and completely confidential. As such, it is not a discussion list, it is an announcement list. Announcements will be sent out and it's up to you to decide if you think you can help out and when you would be available to do so. In general, the first qualified person to respond will get the assignment. Your skill set must match the client's requirements, and matches are not assigned until reviewed by Bitnetix. This message is not intended to be a complete listing of how this program works, not should it be construed as an employment agreement or offer of employment. Using Hiredguns
To post a message to all the list members, send email to hiredguns@bitnetix.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Hiredguns
Subscribe to Hiredguns by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
